Here is the key for what you are seeing:

= Not worth the paper it's printed on
= It is an OK book, not the greatest
= It is a decent book- Worth picking up
= Better than most books out there- Worth a second read
= This is what all books should aspire to be

BLACK PANTHER #5
Writer: Reginald Hudlin
Art: John Romita Jr., Klaus Janson and Terry Dodson (cover)

Another solid issue from this team, I didn't expect that I would really enjoy this book, but I am. Hudlin's story and Romita's pictures make it a decent enough read each month. The invasion of the Panther's homeland officially begins.

CAPTAIN AMERICA #7
Writer: Ed Brubaker
Art: Michael Lark and Steve Epting (inks and cover)

A good jumping on point, right inbetween arcs, we find out what happened to Nomad in the time leading up to his murder. This issue is a good character piece, giving the reader some insite into the motivation behind Nomad's last few hours.

CATWOMAN #44
Writer: Will Pfeifer
Art by Pete Woods and Adam Hughes (cover)

I left this title when Gulacy took over on art, after spending time with Cooke and Stewart, I didn't know what would bring me back. Turns out it was Pfeifer, a solid start for the new writer.

CONAN #17
Writer: Kurt Busiek
Art: Cary Nord and Thomas Yeates

The best thing about this book is it's consistancy. This book is always worth checking out, between Busiek's adaptations or Nord's art, it's time well spent. The color on this book is outstanding as well, thanks Dave Stewart.

DAREDEVIL REDEMPTION #5 (Of 6)
Writer: David Hine
Art: Michael Gaydos and Bill Sienkiewicz (cover)

Courtroom drama, Marvel Universe style. I've enjoyed that a majority of this title hasn't really focused on Daredevil and mor so Matt Murdock and the town's reaction to them city folk.

DOOM PATROL #13
Writer: John Byrne
Art: Byrne and Doug Hazlewood

I was about ready to give up on this title. It seemed like the flavor from othe Doom Patrol incarnations was lost, that was until time travel came into play. I'll stick around for a while longer.

FLAMING CARROT COMICS #3
Writer and Art: Bob Burden

More of the usual strangeness from the mind of Mr. Burden. I wonder if the dead dog will ever come back, that was what got me originallly got me hooked (issue 13 I think).

GRIMJACK KILLER INSTINCT #5 (Of 6)
Writer: John Ostrander
Art: Timothy Truman

I can honestly say, I didn't see that coming. Nice twist at the end of a fairly idea dense issue, makes you glad if you've been paying attention.

HELLBOY THE ISLAND #1 (Of 2)
Writer and Art: Mike Mignola

What can I say, it's Hellboy. He's been gone too long. It's about time he gcame up from out of the ocean, but two issues is too short.

LEGION OF SUPER HEROES #7
Writer: Mark Waid
Art: Barry Kitson and Art Thibert;

Another solid issue from this team. I was leary about yet another re-vamp of the Legion, but this has been good so far.

NEW AVENGERS #6
Writer: Brian Michael Bendis
Art: David Finch and Danny Miki

If I'm Lucky I'll make it through the Sentry story line. The art is what earns it the third star. Finch's art is getting better.

NEIL GAIMAN'S NEVERWHERE #1
Writer: Mike Carey
Art: Glenn Fabry

Having read the book so long ago, I wasn't sure what to expect, but it's hard to pass up Fabry's art.

ROBIN #139
Writer: Bill Willingham
Art: Scott McDaniel and Andy Owens

Robin has some new friends that have been helping him out, but what will that mean for his already strained partnership with Batman?

SHAOLIN COWBOY #3
Writers: Geoff Darrow and the W. Bros.
Art: Geoff Darrow

That Donkey is a real cut up. There isn't a lot of what I would call story in these issues but there sure are some pretty pictures.

SUPREME POWER #17
Writer: J. Michael Straczynski
Art: Gary Frank and Jonathan Sibal

This is the first issue that I would classify as just OK. Not bad a sixteen issue run. Actually it's kind of a nice break. It will be interesting to see how the tone of this title changes when it moves over to the Marvel Knight's publishing arm. A little bit more of a look into what Hyperion is experiencing as he adjusts to life in the "outside" world.

TEEN TITANS #25
Writer: Geoff Johns
Art: Matthew Clark and Art Thibert; Mike McKone and Marlo Alquiza (cover)

Who is that bald guy and why is he beating on Robin? Hey that's Superboy, aren't they friends? This is the second part of the four part crossover with the Outsiders. What have Brainiac and Luthor been planning and for how long? Nothing like tearing up teams from the inside out.

ULTIMATE FANTASTIC FOUR #20
Writer: Mike Carey
Art: Jae Lee

I think that the Thinker is extra creepy, these past two issues have been an interesting bridge between the creative team change.. Lee's art set the mood much better than the story actually would have with someone else on the art chores. The Thinker has plans for Richards and co., but will she be able to pull them off?
